Talk In The Dark, 2024, Youngeun Sohn
Using the Theatre as a dark room, Youngeun Sohn will share her artistic research on light-sensitive materials, image making, transparency, and invisible labor that occurs in the dark. She expands the gap between invisibility and visibility into language translation, sowing, harvesting, and bodily knowledge. With a flashlight in hand, she will focus on lapses in our vision and how our senses fill these holes. Talk In The Dark, is the second presentation from Sohn during her five day visit to NYU Gallatin as the Criticism+Value 2024 Visiting Artist.
